About Just Audit Limited

Just Audit Limited was set up by Rachel Davis in January 2006 and has had four very successful years offering a bespoke audit and assurance service to many differing sizes and types of clients. We are incredibly proud to have recently won the 2020 Most Innovative Small Practitioner award. Our client base is principally in the East Midlands, however we do service many clients in and around the London area, as well as in Yorkshire and other parts of the UK.

Just Audit Limited carries out assurance type work only. We do not offer general accountancy services or tax advice, nor do we act as agent for HMRC for any client. We are set up and experienced at working alongside general practitioners to offer as seamless a service as possible to audit clients.

The rationale for this business model began when the new Ethical Standard was published in 2005. Having studied its requirements, we anticipated that small firms may struggle with the requirements of Ethical Standard 5. In addition, we realised that there are many small firms with one or two audits for whom it may no longer be cost effective to maintain registered auditor status. The costs of compliance and keeping up to date may outweigh the potential profits to be made on these audits. Also there may be other firms that are not audit registered, such as tax specialists, which may wish to take advantage of this approach.
